The Druids of Vale are mostly, although not exclusively, Halfling Druids on The Seventh Hammer Everquest Server. We believe in helping our neighbour out when they need help. We won't, however, be taken advantage of. We support the struggling hero but we shall look passed or turn our heads on the lazy folk who will not attempt to help themselves and expect others to do his business for them. Druids of Vale is generally a peaceful guild. Members are free to go just as they are free to join, so long as the member agrees with this statement. We also want to call attention to Halfling Druids, as people associate size with power. We wish to disprove this myth, and we wish to recognize the strength of Halfling Druids and gain respect for us. We wish for the triumph and the feeling of a job well done when fighting the good fight, whether it be ourselves in the glory or watching someone we helped. We also promote honesty for it is honesty that will ultimately decide your fate. We certainly don't want to tell you what to do, only you have that decision and in the end, only you will choose what is right for you.

March 8th, 2002: This will be my last post. The guild is NOT disbanding but I will not be around to share the guild with you anymore. It's nothing any of you did, please don't think it was. A lot of you were my friends, good friends. I don't want to give this up, but I have to, at least for now, anyway. You can always e-mail me, I don't know if you'll get a response, but feel free. I want to leave you all with this image to maybe remind you of the fun we had.

March 7th, 2002: Today is a patch day. Notable changes in this patch included faction text fix and an fixing some 1018 errors. Tradeskills now take skill increase % items and buffs into consideration. Other than that, the patch really doesn't affect the Druids that much.

I added a link to the Gallery section today. If you have a picture you would like considered being posted on the website, send it to me! If you don't know how to take a screen shot, simply press the Minus ( - ) key the Keypad part of the keyboard (the one on the right-most part of the keyboard.)

I also added today a guide section. So far, I have the language, kiting, and money making guides written. I will compile a guide to leveling in the future. If you have an idea for a guide you would like me to write, send it to me!

March 6th, 2002: Wow, what a party last night in Misty Thicket! I know I had fun. All kinds of stuff was given away from 25pp to small scarab breastplates to short ale to giant firebeetle legs.... Congrats to all the winners. Largely seemed to be the lucky one winner well over half the contests. I hope everybody had as great of time as I did.

I also wanted to add that I receieved a /tell or two about what we did in Misty Thicket last night from some high level players with some of their comments. They were all positive. It looks like our guild is getting a good name for itself, we're becoming known and respected. The only way from here is up (63 members now), so let's all keep up the GREAT work!

March 5th, 2002: I wrote the page to the language learning, it can be found here. Be sure to tell your friends to come to Misty Thicket tonight at 20:00! Should be lots and lots of fun. Door prizes to be given away, cash prizes included.

Congrats to Malan Yoder, yet again. He hit level 51 late yesterday night so the Alternate Advancement system is now usuable to him!

March 4th, 2002: The art contest is now officially over. Our new crest can be seen at the top of the page. The winner, who has declined the money, is Hywind. Crest by itself can be viewed here.

In place of the normal Tuesday Night Raid, the event a language learning session in Misty Thicket! If you do not know how to exchange languages, it's not that hard and I will have a page up on it very soon. I realize that most of you are halflings, but some have alts, bring them along in Misty. In fact, this event does not exclude non-guild members, this event is open to the public. As with all events, this one starts at 20:00 EST.

March 1st, 2002: Congrats to Malan Yoder, our first member to reach the 50th level! Way to go Malan!!!

February 24th, 2002: This is the first update for a while. Recently, the W32 Nimda.D worm took over my computer and I've been trying to fix the problem. As you can see, I finally have the problem fixed.

Guild Raids will now be held on TUESDAYS as on Fridays there are WAY too many people logged on to have a good raid. Also, in a recent guild survey, a little more than half (actually, everybody that responded) said they were in Eastern Standard Time (GMT 05:00), so all guild raids will be based on EST.

Regaurding the guild raid on Friday, I was unable to lead that raid because my personal gateway computer crashed at 21:30. I worked until 9:00 the next day to get the computer working. SO the Befallen raid will be rescheduled for 20:00 EST on Tuesday, February 26th, 2002.

February 16th, 2002: Yesterday, while some officers and I were paying our homage to Karana in North Karana, a Dwarf by the name of Friggit Andahill request to join our guild. His membership marks our 50th Member!

Attention all you artistic guild members out there! The DoV needs a Coat of Arms. Seeing as how I am not artistic, it only seems fitting that someone else design it. Therefore I am hosting this contest! The contest will run for a week or two, (subject to change depending on response). You are to design a fitting Druids of Vale Coat of Arms that will be displayed on the homepage and shall represent we the DoV and what we stand for. The Winner of the contest shall receive 100pp. The winner will be decided by vote of officers! Officers can take part, however those who do shall fore-go their right to a vote to avoid politics. February 13th, 2002: Though Not perfect, the game is working again. Guild news: Bigwind is promoted to Officer! Congrats to him!

Patch update 2: Seems that for me and several other GeForce 2 video card owners the patch has done something that prevents us from running the game. At first, you would receive error message about updated your Nvidia drivers, they want version 2.2.8.0 GeForce 2 chipset drivers (which can be found here). For me, upgrading the drivers did not fix my problem (but did upgrade my video drivers, so it's not that bad). Chat server is jam packed with people having the same problem.

Patch update...login server was congested at 11:16 EST, but I'll keep trying. Patch Changes include: Con-able corpse, corpses last 7 days (for those of us passed level 5) regaurdless of online status, more-randomized NPC spawning, and Snakes in Lavastorm are now ANIMALS. That's good news and bad news for us druids... Good news is we can now charm them. Bad news is...expulse summoned will probably no longer function on these animals. *UPDTATE* Expulse Summoned line of spells still work on Lavacrawlers! Excellent news for Druids in Lavastorm!

Patch in the morning means downtime. =**( 03:00 PST (GMT -08:00), or 06:00 EST (GMT -05:00) is the time they will bring the servers down, expected downtime is 6 hours.

January 27th, 2002: Runnyeye Raid! Meet at the entrance to clan Runnyeye at 20:30 EST (GMT -05:00)! Much Exp. to be had! Thanks to Malan for supporting this!

January 24th, 2002: Druids of Vale becomes a reality on The Seventh Hammer Server! Baeddon declared Leader of Druids of Vale, officer positions go to Malan Yoder and Gaekette!
